Deadline Nears for IndieCommerce Stores Migrating to New Credit Card Processor
American Booksellers Association member bookstores whose IndieCommerce websites are still on the shared ABA credit card merchant account now have until Sunday, November 1, 2020, to move to their own credit card processor.
Stores that have not switched over to their own credit card merchant account before Monday, November 2, will once again be charged the 4.5 percent service fee that was suspended on July 31. This fee will be charged to cover ABA’s additional costs for as long as the site continues to use the ABA shared account.
The shared ABA account will eventually be shut down.
In addition to the 4.5 percent service fee, stores that have not migrated by November 1 will also be charged the new 1 percent commission fee.
