These virtual events, open to all ABA member booksellers, offer an opportunity to talk about any bookselling-related topics.

The Marketing Meetup will take place on Thursday, November 5, and the Technology Meetup will be held Thursday, November 12. These will be the final meetups for the year.

Bookstores that are interested in bringing the free virtual book club to local educators, students, and readers of all ages can sign up to receive bookplates signed by Cullors. 

The two-part consumer reading series will take place on Thursday, November 5, and Thursday, November 19, at 2:00 p.m. ET on Zoom.

The final webinar of the series will look at basic self-defense tips. Booksellers can visit the Education Resources section on BookWeb.org to watch videos of all previous webinars in the series.

These sessions, which have limited capacity, will cover a range of de-escalation techniques that are particularly relevant in the context of our current political and social environment. Booksellers should sign up now. 

From evaluating platform security to leveraging local connections, this session offered booksellers tips, tricks, and guidance on how to create events in the new digital world.

Booksellers can share the link with customers and begin encouraging signups and book purchases now. During registration, attendees can opt to donate to the Black Lives Matter Global Network. 

The two-part series will take place on November 5 and November 19 and will focus on Black Lives Matter founder Patrisse Cullors’ young adult book.
