Revamped Bookselling This Week to Debut on April 20
On April 20, the American Booksellers Association will launch a redesigned newsletter that will arrive in subscribers’ inboxes on a new schedule.
Bookselling This Week (BTW) will arrive on Tuesdays and Fridays at about noon ET. The new version will feature concise information in two categories: what to do and what to know. Booksellers and other industry readers will find easy takeaways and action items in this new, more streamlined format.
The BTW redesign and schedule change come as ABA reevaluates the variety of emails going to members each week. In the coming weeks, ABA will reduce the number of emails it sends to members as important announcements (such as the bestseller list links or Indie Next List nomination reminders) become part of the regular BTW content. ABA will also no longer send updates from ABA CEO Allison Hill, as that news will be incorporated into the new BTW, but Hill will continue with regular letters to members.
Going forward, the BTW page on BookWeb will serve as a blog where ABA will post important association news as it arises. The twice-weekly BTW issues will be archived on the site for easy reference.
Questions about the new BTW schedule and design can be directed to ABA Content Director Sydney Jarrard.
