BookExpo Children’s Book & Author Breakfast Speakers Announced
On February 10, BookExpo announced the four authors to be featured at its 2017 Children’s Book & Author Breakfast, to be held on Friday, June 2, at the Javits Convention Center.
“Our Children’s Book & Author Breakfast is one of the most anticipated events of the show each year, attracting a large audience looking to discover breakout talent in the world of children’s and young adult literature,” said BookExpo Event Director Brien McDonald. “We have an amazing lineup of established stars and emerging authors who are sure to offer an unforgettable morning of conversation.”
The breakfast will be hosted by Today show co-host and chief legal correspondent for NBC News Savannah Guthrie, who will discuss her new young readers’ book, Princesses Wear Pants, which was co-written with Allison Oppenheim and illustrated by Eva Byrne (Abrams Books for Young Readers).
Guthrie will take to the Main Stage from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on the last day of the trade show along with featured authors:
- Jason Reynolds, Miles Morales (Marvel Press), Patina (Simon & Schuster), and Long Way Down (Caitlyn Dlouhy Books/Atheneum Books for Young Readers)
- Marieke Nijkamp, Before I Let Go (Sourcebooks Fire)
- Jennifer Weiner, Little Bigfoot, Big City (Aladdin)
