The 2018 ABC Best Books digital catalog is mobile-friendly and easily integrated by IndieCommerce staff with no work necessary for bookstores.

Booksellers who are interested in attending the 2019 ABC Children’s Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, have until December 4 to submit their names for the opportunity to win a scholarship.

The full-color, 20-page consumer circular features more than 200 frontlist and backlist titles for children and teens, all suggested by ABA member booksellers; it also carries no fourth-quarter/holiday branding so booksellers can use it throughout the year.

Longtime bookseller Janelle Smith is opening her own store in April. Wishing Tree’s goal, she said, “is to connect through stories and to create compassion and understanding.”

Booksellers have the opportunity to supplement their catalog supplies with extra stock and to add a digital version of the catalog to their websites.

“Laura Weymouth’s debut is a captivating tale of two sisters struggling to find home and to find themselves,” said Hannah Wilson of Out West Books.

Four booksellers discussed how they organize large-scale author events both in their stores and off-site, from selecting a venue to ticketing to communicating with staff, publicists, and attendees.
