The features highlighted below are excellent additions to your IndieCommerce website, especially for the upcoming holidays! Our team has compiled the exciting list below to help stores maximize their productivity and efficiency while also offering new ways to display content and interact with customers. Content

Ask a Bookseller

• This feature creates a new method for customers to contact the store about specific titles. Once enabled, the 'Ask a Bookseller' button will appear on a book's product page when the book is marked as unavailable for purchase on the website. This will give the customer an opportunity to contact the store and gives the store the ability to hand sell books to customers.

Catalogs

• Allows stores to build online catalogs - organized collections of books, grouped into different sub categories, navigated with a dropdown menu. Stores can use this feature for Staff Picks, Bestsellers, Book Fairs etc.

Coupons

• This feature allows the store to create online coupons that can be used for all products on the website, excluding eBooks and Audio Books. Coupons also come with optional restrictions the store can use to offer specific discounts on individual titles or within specific date ranges.

Local Store Inventory

• Allows stores to upload and display the store's inventory. Daily inventory files can be uploaded using Above the Treeline, FTP (File Transfer Protocol), or can be uploaded manually through your IndieCommerce website.

Non-Book

• Integrates non-book products with Local Store Inventory, making it easier for stores to sell non-book products on the website. With this feature, the store can manage the stock of non-book products in the same Local Store Inventory file as their book products.

Not For Sale

• When a book is available on the website from Ingram, but the store chooses not to sell that title for any reason, this feature can help! Allows Store Admins to upload a list of ISBNs that are not available for sale on the site which will make those titles unavailabe for purchase on the website.

Store Preferences

• By customizing your Store Preferences, you have the option not to sell books marked as Special Order (books not on-hand at Ingram), Short Discount, or NET discount. With fine tuned store preferences it will make it easy for your store to manage online orders.

Order Processing

Bulk Order Processing

• This feature makes it easy to process several orders at once-- all with the click of a button! Store Admins can use this feature to move orders from status to status, add admin comments, and send notification emails to customers in bulk.

Bulk Invoice Printing

• This feature allows the store print invoices in bulk. By selecting a range of orders using the date, order status, or shipping method, the store can bulk print invoices in one click, saving you time and increasing order processing efficiency.

Financial Reports

• Several new financial reports have been added to the website to help stores gain a daily insight into their online sales! These reports can help display the daily reconciliations, credit card charges, and sales using other payment methods, giving an accurate day-by-day display of online sales.

Pick List

• A downloadable list of ordered products to help stores speed up the order fulfillment process. This list will include details of the ordered products along with the in-stock numbers and shelf location in the store.

Preferred / Chosen Name

• The preferred name field is used for customers’ whose chosen names do not match their legal names. For stores with a large transgender customer base -- or a base of customers with other preferred names -- this field can help.

Shipping Solutions

• Using any one of our shipping integrations, stores can export the delivery addresses for online orders into their preferred shipping solutions such as Stamps.com, PirateShip, or ShipEasy! This will allow you to import addresses for orders into your shipping software where you can then create shipping labels in bulk.

Gifting

Giftcards

• Allows the store to create and sell giftcards, in any denominations, on the website. This makes it easy for stores to sell gift cards and is an excellent option for creating store gift cards through your website.

Givex Giftcards

• This feature gives stores the option to sell physical and e-gift cards through Givex. Customers can purchase these gift cards on your website, and they can also use them as a form of payment during checkout! Customers can also schedule the delivery date of Givex eGift Cards so the recipient receives their gift card at a future date, making it perfect for the holidays!

Online Giftcodes

• This feature will generate online giftcodes that can be purchased by the customer or created by the store to be sent directly to the recipient in any denomination. Customers can also schedule the delivery of the online giftcode so the recipient receives their giftcode at a future date; perfect for the holidays! Customers will be able to use their online giftcodes as a form of payment during checkout.

Wish Lists / Gift Registries

• Provides users with the ability to create and manage multiple wish lists on your website.
